CHEROKEE, Iowa - Shhh, listen, do you hear that ticking?

The ticking noise was the offensive explosion that was about to occur once the Class 1A Region 1 tournament game got underway. The 11th ranked Cherokee girls wasted very little time in detonating its offense against OABCIG with a 24-6 lead and tone setter in the first quarter of play.

There was chasm the remainder of the game between Cherokee and OABCIG, as the Braves failed to lift its foot off the gas pedal fueling the offense. Cherokee 's lead grew to 42-17 at halftime and 64-37 at the third and fourth quarter break, enroute to a 34-point 80-46 plucking of the Falcons feathers.
