The Center For Rural Affairs is reaching out today to invite individuals to attend its upcoming webinar, “Solar Rules: Best Practices for County Solar Siting Ordinances,” on May 22 from 1:30 to 3 PM. The webinar will be an overview of our latest publication, Iowa Solar Siting Resource Guide: A Roadmap for Counties, which we authored with our partners at the Iowa Environmental Council (IEC).
The webinar, hosted by the Center for Energy & Environmental Education (CEEE) at the University of Northern Iowa, will cover the key components of strong county-level solar ordinances with examples from Iowa and around the Midwest. The webinar is intended to guide county officials through the process of drafting a solar energy ordinance.
You'll also be joining their friends at IEC and CEEE to outline best practices for incorporating native vegetation and pollinator habitat with solar projects and considerations for the development of community solar projects
